Out of the Box Turns Assemblies Into Edutainment Events!

For some, education is a painful process. For others, learning seems to happen as if by magic during the process of schooling. One goal of Out of the Box Performance Arts is to move all students into the Latter Category via "edu-tainment."

For over 25 years, Victor and Linda Schiro have been educating all different age groups via singing, sign language, chalk art, illusions, escapes, juggling, drama and clowning. By constantly changing the medium, but not the theme, the message can be reinforced many times, without losing interest, attention, or involvement. Using interactive stories, volunteers, and crowd involvement helps to "reset" the audience fairly often during a 45-60 minute assembly. Even elementary children find themselves surprised that a whole hour has passed so quickly.

"My son usually forgets to tell me they have had an assembly, much less remembers what it was about. He not only remembered what it was about, but he got in the car so excited, that I couldn't wait to get him home to tell his dad. Thank you for coming to our school."
